Tory Lanez has been charged with felony assault in the Megan the Stallion shooting incident from earlier this summer…
The LA County D.A.’s office has officially charged Tory Lanez with with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
According to reports, Tory is also alleged to have inflicted serious bodily harm on Megan the Stallion. If convicted, Lanez faces a sentence of up to 22 years and 8 months.
In July, immediately after the shooting incident, Tory was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm. However, the most recent charges indicate that investigators believe Tory is the triggerman in the shooting incident that resulted in Megan the Stallion requiring surgery on her foot to remove pieces of shrapnel and/or bullet fragments.
Megan went public some time after the incident in August, naming Tory as the shooter that left her with a horrible and disfiguring foot injury. “Yes, this n***a Tory shot me. You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to these blogs lying and s**t, stop lying!” she said in a now deleted video posted on Instagram.
So far, neither Tory or Megan has released a statement in response to the latest events. Meanwhile, it seems as if Megan has been doing her best to move past the incident, making her SNL debut this past weekend. We wish Megan the best as she continues to recover. This story is still developing.
