Jacquees Arrested After Alleged Assault at Local Tap Bar: Claims of Biting, Choking, and a Dramatic Escape in a Ferrari

Singer Jacquees was arrested after an alleged assault on a female employee at a Gwinnett County bar.

Over the past weekend, R&B artist Jacquees, legally known as Rodriquez Broadnax, was taken into custody following allegations of him physically assaulting a woman who works at a bar in Gwinnett County. Local Tap bar, near the Mall of Georgia, was the scene of the incident which led to the police being called around 11:30 p.m. on Friday. The official booking took place at approximately 1:26 a.m.

The victim and multiple witnesses reported that Jacquees was intoxicated and causing a disturbance due to his loud behavior. They also claimed he engaged in a scuffle with the bar’s security staff before escaping the scene in a Ferrari. The woman further alleged that the singer choked her and bit her hand.

Law enforcement located Jacquees in a nearby parking area. Despite their efforts, he remained uncooperative and attempted to flee. To restrain him, an officer had to deploy a stun gun. He was subsequently arrested on charges of simple battery and intentionally obstructing law enforcement. Later that morning, he was released on a bond of $3,700.

The singer’s mugshot has since been circulated widely on social media, showing noticeable signs of physical altercation. It’s uncertain whether these injuries were caused by the bar’s security or the police.

Jacquees, known for his hit “B.E.D.,” did not let his arrest hinder his activities. By Saturday evening, he shared pictures from Los Angeles on his social media account, captioned with the phrase, “it’s all love wit me…always.”
