Vanessa Bryant Calls Out Meek Mill For ‘insensitive’ Kobe song lyric

It seems like at least once every year Meek Mill takes an L for saying or doing something. 2021 has been no different for dude. His ongoing “beef” with Tekashi 69 had him looking a lil funny, when Rainbow Bright ran up on him in a parking garage in Atlanta, calling him out for being “soft”.

Now Meek has a collaboration song with Lil Baby called “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe)” that has not yet been released, but it has already caught attention online.

Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” one of the lyrics from the song reportedly says. (insert facepalm emoji here).

Kobe’s death is a sensitive subject, especially for Vanessa Bryant and her family. I mean after all, the woman lost her husband, Kobe, and second-oldest daughter, Gianna, in a fatal helicopter crash just last year.

in her Instagram story Vanessa wrote “Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.

I mean dayum, come on Meek. That line was below mediocre at best anyway. I hope that he respects Vanessa Bryant’s request and changes it. Seems like it wouldn’t go over too well in L.A.
