Hoorae is Issa Rae’s latest multimedia venture…
In an exclusive from Variety, Issa Rae announced that she has consolidated her entertainment production ventures for feature film, TV, and digital under her newly launched media company, Hoorae.
Formerly known as Issa Rae Production, Hoorae will include HBO”s hit series “Insecure” and “A Black Lady Sketch Show.”
The announcement also mentioned a promotion for veteran executive Sara Ratsogi to senior vice president of development. She will report to Montrel McKay, presdient of Hoorae film and TV.
Color Creative, the management company run by company President Talitha Watkins and COO Deniese Davis, will also fall under the Hoorae brand.
“Working with Issa, Montrel and the whole team has been refreshing and rewarding,” Rastogi said. “Issa invests in people and has cultivated an empowering company culture that allows us to take big risks, challenge ourselves, and industry norms. I am excited to continue growing with the company, in short Hoorae!”
