Caleb Anderson makes college look easy

12 year old college student is showing the world why Black is the standard

While most 12-year-olds are navigating their final year of middle-school, Caleb Anderson has already knocked out his first year of college. However, while one may would call this young man a genius, Caleb doesn’t seem to think so.

“I’m not really smart,” he told correspondent Mark Strassmann of CNN. “I just grasp information quickly. So, if I learn quicker, then I get ahead faster.”

Currently in his sophomore year of studies at Georgia Tech, the infamous engineering school pulled out all the stops to recruit Caleb into the school. “He’s a perfect candidate to come into our program and be very successful,” said Professor Mark Costello, chair of Georgia Tech’s School of Aerospace Engineering.

His parents, Claire and Kobe Anderson still haven’t quite gotten over how advanced their son is.

“I don’t think anything Caleb has done has been normal for us,” said Claire.

In fact, by nine months, Caleb knew sign language, was reading by age one, and knew how to do fractions by the age of two. We can see why nothing seems “normal” in the Anderson household when it comes to Caleb.

“I have this distinct memory of going to a first grade class and learning there, and everyone was way taller than me, because, you know, I was two. I could barely walk!” “Middle school was awful. “The kids there, they kind of looked down on me, they treated me like I was an anomaly,” Caleb said. “And I kind of am,” Caleb said, reflecting on his earlier educational experiences.

Caleb began his collegiate studies at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, Ga. where he studied aerospace engineering before transferring to Georgia Tech.

When asked about how unique it is for someone his age to be in college, Caleb replied, “This is my life. This is how I am. And I’ve been living this way my whole life.”

Caleb, we salute you and glad you are who you are! You depict exactly why Black is the standard!
